Ozone Depleting Substance Destruction, Environment Credit Corp. - PG&E ClimateSmart™

Through a contract with the ClimateSmart program, Environmental Credit Corp. will collaborate with Appliance Recycling Centers of America Inc. (ARCI) to collect and destroy more than 38000 pounds of ozone depleting substances (ODS) from California sources including disposed refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and bulk chillers. The destruction of the ODS from these sources is a one--time, permanent and irreversible process undertaken under the careful monitoring of both the US EPA and the Climate Action Reserve to ensure complete incineration of the ODS.
